So impressed it’s a jewel - you’d think by such a busy road it wouldn’t feel so good but it’s set back enough and with friendly staff plus a chef who clearly cares it’s a 5 star. Food tastes fresh and is well presented, with an interesting choice. Doggies welcomed with a water bowl too.

In general, we are a family that experiences different cuisines and even enjoys eating. When we learnt that there was Mediterranean cuisine in Hackney, we wanted to experience it immediately. And we really loved it! The place is beautiful, the food is delicious.

The food and the coffee were delicious and the service really good. Everybody was very nice and taking care of we had a good experience. Totally recommend the Turkish fest and the french toasts!

A great spot! I’ve gone back multiple times to try different dishes. The veg full English is delicious - so are the pancakes and bagels! A great deal on pizzas as well. The staff is very accommodating and helpful. Quick service and affordable pricing.

Had a wonderful experience at La Mela with a large group. The food was delicious and affordable. I had the Saksuka but want to go back and try everything else! Natalia and all the other staff and chefs made us feel so welcome and taken care of, some of the best service I have had in London. Will definitely be back!!

As a proud East Londoner, I can tell it`s a great place to go for a brunch or coffee break after a good walk by the canal.. The brunch menu is quite big but I loved the "Turkish Feast", which has honey, walnuts, fresh fruits, smoked turkish sossice and pastry.. The staff is super friendly. If you stop by and have a little chat, you will see how ambitious and motivated they are about food in general. 5 out of 5!

As always, the food, the homely atmosphere and the fantastic and friendly staff keep me coming back to La Mela very time. Highly recommend the French toast with Berries.

Amazing services the staff is super knowledge and friendly, there are no words to describe the food, truly delicious, the sauce from the fish is just divine and the arancini my god they are the best in all London.... so tasty!! A big thanks to Volkan that is fabulous and he knows how to run a business !!!!

The food here is SO good, and something more special than just your average brunch food. The service is always super friendly too. We love coming here! Definitely recommend this little gem.

A hidden gem. Amazing customer service and a beautiful back garden. Lovely place to sit and have some bites. Great variety of menu with sandwiches, burgers, pizzas and pastas. Great place and walking distance to the Homerton station. A must experience local cafe.
